Enable Shortcuts in Settings and give the Transpose window or Side focus. When typing in a text field, the keys remain available for your text.
Keyboard shortcuts and MIDI
The table lists every action you can assign to keys or MIDI in Settings. — means there is no default key. Custom keys and MIDI are available for Studio songs. MIDI has no fixed notes or controller numbers: choose your own binding with Learn.

¹ On macOS, use Option instead of Ctrl for these two actions.
Down/up entries are two separate actions. Number and letter keys refer to physical key positions; their labels may differ between keyboard layouts.
Return to start: without an active loop, jump to 0:00. With an active loop, jump to its start, unless you are within two seconds of that start: then jump to 0:00. Press twice in quick succession to return to the song start.
Next marker: jump to the nearest marker after the current position. After the last marker, stay at the current position. This action has no separate transport button.
A–B: set A, then B at the current playback position. With an active A–B loop, the same action stops the loop. See Loops.
To open Transpose itself with a shortcut, use your browser’s extension shortcut settings.

Custom key combinations
Open Settings → Shortcuts and enable Custom shortcuts. Choose an action and press your preferred combination. If it is already assigned, Transpose asks whether to move it. You can disable or restore each binding. This works in the Transpose window and in Side.
MIDI knobs
In addition to the actions in the table, MIDI offers a control binding for Volume, Speed, Transpose, Pitch, Formant and Vocal Reducer. This controls both directions with one knob. Read MIDI to connect a controller and learn bindings.
